Fruit is orange with paired cylindrical follicles. Habitat is evergreen forest, mostly coastal, from sea-level to altitude. Local medicinal uses include as a treatment for stomach-ache, gonorrhoea, rheumatism, gout, malaria and as a diuretic and anthelmintic.
